Meet The Gym Station's Coaches
Coach Wildcat, Area DirectorMy name is Taylor but the kids call me Coach Wildcat! I am a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky, majoring in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. It has always been my interest to help better a person's health and personal wellness. I love kids and really enjoy getting to work with them. Being a coach to these kids is something I look forward to each day. Through this job I not only better their health but also get to have a blast doing so. I realize that being a role model to children is a part of my job as a coach and I think it is important to be a positive influence in their lives!
Coach JoyHi my name is Katrina Stone but your kids know me as Coach JOY!!! I enjoy coaching your kids and involving them in weekly exercise activities. I also create a safe environment for the kids. It brings JOY into my life to be an example for each kid I get to meet and coach. Each child is unique and I really enjoy coaching them. I hope to be a part of The Gym Station for years to come so that your kids can look back on their preschool days and think, "Coach Joy helped me to..." because I want your kids to love what they do and bring JOY into others’ lives.
Coach PeachesMy name is Hannah but your kids know me as Coach Peaches! Growing up I played many sports including track, tennis, and water polo, but I especially loved swimming. I swam for ten years and coached swimming for a year and a half. I also grew up babysitting the neighborhood kids. My childhood helped mold my interest not only in health and fitness but also gave me a heart for children. I have a history as a childcare provider, trainer, exercise physiologist, and coaching. Currently I enjoy working out, hikes, my dog, being goofy and anything nature related. I am also a professional IFBB athlete. I can't wait to teach and grow with your children while instilling good healthy habits into them at a young age :)
Coach SparklesMy name is Leigh but the kiddos know me as Coach Sparkles! I have been dancing ever since I could walk and have developed a passion for teaching children and sharing my love for dance. After fifteen years of training and performing multiple dance styles, I went on to recieve a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of North Texas. Upon graduating college, I got my dream internship working with the Hubbard Street Youth Dance Program in Chicago, IL. After a year of working with the youth dance program and taking class from world famous choreographers in Chicago, I decided to move back to the best state ever to continue my career in dance education. My goals as a dance teacher are to inspire creativity using techniques that support contemporary dance and of course to HAVE FUN!
Coach FunHello, my name is Erick, but the kids call me Coach Fun! I’m originally from Dallas, Texas and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. Before I became a Coach I was in the the fire safety field where I worked as a firefighter and fire inspector. Being able to shape our future generation through sports and fitness is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of. Everyday is a new day to learn, so why not make it Fun?!
Coach SupermanHola! My name is Nick Valentine but your amazing child may know me as Coach Superman. I am from Dallas, Texas, GO COWBOYS! Sports are my passion and affecting the lives of children through sporting activities is monumental to that passion. I received my Bachelor Degree from the University of Houston in Sports Administration. I graduated in December 2016 with a Masters in Education Administration. It's an honor to impact your child in a positive way and I'm ecstatic to be a part of the learning curve for all kids through fun educational activities that will get those young minds and bodies blossoming.
